Over 42 states maintain “open” DMV databases that provide consistent, current vehicle registration data. For the remaining states, we utilize non-governmental sources such as insurance records, lien filings, and other proprietary databases.

Additionally, 37 states provide access to watercraft and aircraft registration records—valuable for asset searches and judgment enforcement.

While non-DMV sources are comprehensive, they may not always reflect the subject’s most recent vehicle purchases or registrations. We clearly indicate the source and date of all vehicle data in your report.

Court records—including civil judgments, evictions, liens, bankruptcies, and criminal history—are available across all 50 states through federal, state, and county court systems.

The only exceptions occur when criminal records have been legally sealed or expunged, typically as part of plea agreements, juvenile adjudications, or successful petitions for record clearance. Our reports reflect all publicly accessible court records at the time of the search.

The depth of each report reflects the subject’s history. A straightforward people search may yield 5-10 pages, while comprehensive background checks on individuals with extensive records can span 20, 30, or even 50+ pages.

Factors that increase report length include multiple addresses across different states, business ownership or corporate affiliations, civil litigation history, and property holdings. Every relevant record we uncover is included at no additional charge.
